Prelude and Fugue for Solo Clarinet

Written in the Fall of 2002 for clarinettist John Varineau, the Prelude and Fugue make extensive use of the technical abilities of the clarinet while remaining accessible (albeit difficult) to both audience and performer.

The recording below is from the premiere performance in April of 2003 at WMU's annual New Sounds Festival, with John Varineau performing.
